Getting Ready for the Holidays!

I love the holidays!! Spending time with family, getting stuffed with amazing home cooked meals and just being home with the people I love the most. In preparation for the holidays, Riley's parents asked me to take some photos of her for their christmas card. It was a little chilly outside, but nothing a lollipop or juice box couldn't fix!

Goodbye Summer

I got to do some more creative photography today! My friend Daisy asked me if I could help her with a project. She wanted to depict the last days of summer, when the leaves are just starting to crisp up and turn shades of gold. Daisy is an amazingly talented makeup artist who's studying to be a acupuncturist. Admittedly, I didn't really understand the entire project, but I sure had fun taking these pics! Oh, and did I mention that she's gorgeous?

Meet Baby Jace!

The newest member of the soon-to-be fam has arrived! Jace Thomas was born on Sept 21 in Rochester, NY. We got to fly up and visit for a few days over the weekend. Jace is as cute as can be and I'm sure he'll be a ladies man when he gets older. :)

Angel + Amy

I got to hang out with Angel for a bit before Amy and I headed over to the National Geographic Endangered Species exhibit. I was surprised at how chill she was, but when Amy pulled out the treats, she was a ball of energy. Amy says she guesstimates Angel's age somewhere between 12-15 years old. This cutie sure hides her age well!!

Quite possibly the best way to spend the weekend

A few weekends ago, my co-worker Kate invited us to spend the weekend at her parent's amazing vacation home on Gibson Island (off the Chesapeake Bay). We arrived 9am and headed for the dock where Kate & Mike had already started crabbing. Even though the crabs seemed to be in short supply, the experience was SO fun! What a great day...perfect weather, crabbing on the dock, lounging around the house and doing a whole lot of relaxing.

A Tiny Twist on Tiger Shoes

I'm going to be co-hosting a baby shower for my cousin this month! My co-host came up with a fabulous idea to incorporate chinese details like baby tiger shoes. I think in chinese culture, these shoes represent strength, bravery and, of course, good fortune. Well, after searching all over the web, I didn't see any products that were cute or cuddly. So......CRAFT TIME!! I found instructions for these super simple felt shoes from Martha, added a touch of adorableness and voila!

e-session: Jo + Austin

What an amazing day for an e-session! It rained the day before leaving a warm breezy Sunday morning. Jo & Austin are a gorgeous couple that were introduced to us by a good friend, Lynn. We started off bright and early at the Capitol where Austin popped the question and then headed over to Georgetown and the waterfront for the rest of the shoot. What a fun morning!
